*** The dinner was a huge success! ***
There were over 100 people in attendance along with several speakers who provided insightful information to the veteran’s and their spouses. We had Danielle Murphy from the Attorney General’s Office, Bud Gibson from the local VFW, Michael Green from the Dayton Vet Center, Justin Detwiler from the Marion CBOC (VA Rep), and Joenee Purcell from Discovery Riders.
We also had the Chained Eagles of Ohio who provided a display of all of Ohio’s POW and MIA’s names on their wall, along with a replica of the cage they were held captive in during Vietnam. Even Jon Cross, from the Ohio House of Representatives – representing the people of Northwest Ohio’s 83rd District, made time to stop and pay tribute to the veterans who served by greeting the veterans in attendance and by learning more about Ohio’s POW’s and MIA veterans from the Chained Eagles representatives (please review the pictures below of the event).
