The Veterans’ Service Commission (VSC) agreed to offer the honor of Grand Marshal to Allyn (Big AL) Talbert (he graciously accepted). Mr. Talbert is a Vietnam Era veteran who served in different locations around the world during the Vietnam Era. He would be the second Vietnam Era veteran selected to be Grand Marshal in the Memorial Day Parade in Kenton, OH.
As seen in the picture: on the left side is Terry Hamm, in the middle is Al Talbert, and on the right side is Gerald Purcell. Terry and Gerald are both board members on the VSC who presented him with the Grand Marshal certificate.
