2024 Memorial Day at Grove Cemetery – Pictures (click here)

The Veterans’ Service Commission would like to thank all of the volunteers, especially those who placed flags in all cemeteries around Hardin County and the following:  Judge Maria Santo for being the keynote speaker at the memorial service; the Veterans’ Service Commission Honor Guard members (Gerald Purcell, Ray Petty, Abraham Oates, Doug Camper, Kim Reffner, & Matt Crawford) for providing the gun salute; Kenton’s High School band and band director Travis Wissman for playing patriotic music, JROTC Honor Guard and Lieutenant Colonel Fournier; Cadet Adam Hopkins who read the Gettysburg Address; Dave Rish who read General Logan’s Order #11; and finally band member Luke Anderson who played Taps.  As always, the public is always welcome to join us during this yearly memorial service in Grove Cemetery.
