The Veterans’ Service Commission (VSC) would like to announce their Holiday Food Voucher Outreach Program for 2021, which is available for all “needy” veterans and widows. Applicants can request a food voucher by coming into the Veterans’ Service Office between December 1st – 8th.
The VSC received a generous donation from the Kenton Elks Lodge #157, B.P.O.E., to help with the expense of this program…thank you Elks!
The veteran “must” bring in proof of honorable or under honorable service via their DD214 or other official military discharge paperwork and must have served on active duty for other than training. The widow must bring in the death certificate and proof of the veteran’s military service. Lastly, proof of residency for the last 90 days as a Hardin County resident is also required. The Veterans’ Service Office is located on the 1st floor, suite 170, in the county courthouse.
