Veterans of Hardin County, the Hardin County Veterans’ Service Commission (VSC) encourages you to go to the Hardin County Fair on September 3rd so you can do a meet and great with the Veterans Service Officer, representatives from the Veterans Administration (VA), and the local veteran service organizations, including the American Legion & Amvets. The Fair Board has graciously provided the VSC the use of the shelter house, this year, which is a short distance from the grandstand (right beside the handicap parking area).
We are also pleased to announce that we will be providing veterans, on a first come first serve basis, a free small sub (from the Mouse House), chips, and water, all sponsored by the American Legion Post 198, from 5 pm – 5:45 pm, or while supplies last. At 6 pm, we will have a guest speaker, a veteran who recently served in Baghdad Iraq, speaking about what he encountered during Operation Inherent Resolve and will share with the audience what modern warfare looks like in 2024 (new technology that is being used on the battlefield). Please join us at the shelter house on Veterans Day when all veterans get in for free, at the county fair.
