Last Saturday (September 30th) turned out to be a wonderful day to have our annual Veterans 5K Run. We had a great turnout – veteran’s and supporters both had a lot of fun. Please review the list of the winners of the 5K event, along with the pictures of the day (this year’s theme was veterans against supporters).
Medals were presented to the top three places in each age group. The 1st place medal was given out to both a male and female participant. The second and third place medals were gender neutral and was “only” be awarded to the person who came in 2nd or 3rd place. Therefore, in each age group there was two 1st place winners (1 male & 1 female) and one second and third place winner regardless of gender.

1st place winner (female) Allyssa Mewhoter – 1st Place (male) Patrick Wain
Age group 20-34
1st place winner (female) Hope Jenkins – 1st Place (male) Nicholas Jarman – 2nd Place (male-veteran) Justyce VanMeter – 3rd Place (male) Sam Hall

Conclusion – who won the 5K Event this year?
If you exclude the youth age group, who hasn’t had a chance to become a veteran yet, it was evenly tied with the amount of medals awarded to both veterans and supporters at this year’s 5K event.
