We had a good turnout this last Saturday. Veterans and their family members were fishing all around Boy Scout Lake/Veterans Park competing on who could catch the longest fish and the most fish.
First place winners, this year, received both a 1st place trophy, cooler bag, and a free rod and reel, the second and third place winners received a trophy. The person who caught the most fish won a free fish scale. All participants received a light lunch after the event.
The following were the winners of the fishing tournament:
Ages 18 & Over – Jessica Gossard won 1st place – Michele Scott won 2nd place – Kathy Kelley won 3rd place
Ages 11-17 – Leighton Wirbel won 1st place – Solomon Petty won 2nd place – NA
Ages 3 -10 – Malachi Petty won 1st place – Rosie Harpster won 2nd place – NA
And Michele Scott also took home the most fish caught winning the fish scale. We thank everyone who competed, the winners of the event, and especially the sponsors who made it all possible.
